Taiwan Travelogue 7D6N - Day 5

11:12:00 AM

Sorry for pausing my taiwan posts half way, i got a little too excited for photoshoot haha! Let's back track abit to Day 3 in Taipei. We went down from apartment and a short walk to Ximending walking street to find breakfast. The street food carts came out around 9am along the whole street, so we decided to settle our breakfast while walking haha! I must say i love their taiwan sausage the most!

The legendary/super famous HOT-STAR LARGE FRIED CHICKEN! We went there so early, there was hardly any queue yay!
Look at the portion! Can you believe its just about SGD $3??? Probably double of what shilin singapore sells! And guess what, it wasn't abnormal to have this for breakfast. We saw many people eating everywhere too!
Just look at this, its bigger than our face please. SO WORTH IT!
After breakfast, we travelled to Dan Shui Old Street淡水老街via the metro. It was a short walk from the station to the street full of local foods and products!
The master planning of Dan Shui. Just have to stop by and study this model for a lil while longer haha
The square after you exit from dan shui station.
Just walk straight down this street for a few mins, and you will sell the old street entrance on your left.
This is how the street looks like, shophouse stalls/stores and some carts. Its a pretty long street with lots of great stuffs!
Some event on that day by the sea front.
Saw people queuing for this, so we just follow. And OMG, it was the nicest tako i ever tried so far!!!^^
Walking along the sea. It was freezing, with the cold sea breeze blowing onto our faces!

Our photographer girl and maid, HAHAHA KIDDING dont kill me! :P
Okay here's one with you(:

Tried this famous tall ice-cream, the taste was mehh.
At the platform, to Shilin士林next stop.
Just across the street after you exit from the station! But this isn't the main entrance, you need to walk down more to enter from the middle.
Oh gosh, you wouldn't have imagine how crowded it was! The streets were so messy, people queuing at every food stalls blocking the walkway. About after 7pm, more people came and we literally just get push all the way around the area we don't even need to walk okay. It was so CRAZYILY PACKED because it was saturday! PLEASE DON'T COME HERE ON WEEKENDS MAN! YOU WILL CRY!
We managed to find a place to sit and settle our dinner quickly. There wasn't much to eat because the rest all super long queue.

So we just end off with fried chicken again, cause we can't get enough of this haha! But later we found the underground and went there to play some games instead and head home.

To Shilin Night Market
By MRT: Take the Red Line to Jiantan Station (劍潭), not Shilin Station. After leaving Exit 1, diagonally cross the street to the left to enter the night market.

Opening hours:

*Games and more at underground! Got air-con somemore!
